ご案内       店内のご案内

We were awarded a Michelin star for the 12th time!
The restaurant was awarded a Michelin star each year from 2008 to 2019.
Please come enjoy our elaborate and unconventional Japanese cuisine in a quiet and relaxing setting.

About the restaurant

Walk through the shopping street leading up to Gakugei-daigaku station’s
East exit, turn right at the florist and you will find yourself in a peaceful neighborhood. (Access map at the bottom of page)
Our restaurant is in a quiet residential area.

Step inside to find a small tatami room and a simply arranged counter.
The snugly arranged furnitures and objets, as well as our dishes, were all carefully selected by the chef, who loves to visit antique shops in his favorite city Kyoto.
The dim lighting and jazz music help create a comforting mood.

The restaurant is perfect for family dinner, birthday celebrations, or for anyone who wish to enjoy a laid-back conversation.
Visitors are sure to forget the bustle of the urban life in this calming atmosphere.

“We cherish each encounter we have at the restaurant. We hope we can make your stay at the restaurant a special one that will stay with you long.
“Please come around to our restaurant some time. We sincerely await your visit.”

From the chef

SUZUKI Yoshitsugu

Kappou Suzuki has recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. I believe Kappou Suzuki is a restaurant that has been supported, raised, and guided by our guests.  To this day, I worked determinedly and managed to advancing step by step, thanks to each one of our guests who have supported Kappou Suzuki grow for 30 years. Everyday, my mind is filled with cooking, awake and in my dreams. The profession of a cook can be very demanding, both in physicaly and spiritually, and yet I am in love with it. I am filled with content every time I hear the cry of joy from my guest. Kappou Suzuki has evolved over the years, but in its 30 years, never did I change, nor never would I change, our policy to « cook the most delicious dishes in all Meguro, using the best of the best ingredients ». It is my deepest wish to continue working hard to answer your support and love. Thank you.
